A number of fires are burning throughout Southern California as the area faces high temperatures and winds. Here's a rundown:
Fires: Carlsbad/Poinsettia Fire Camp Pendleton/Tomahawk Fire Anaheim fire Ventura/Briggs Fire Long Beach fire Bernardo Fire Miguelito Fire

Camp Pendleton: A brush fire burning at Camp Pendleton has lead to an evacuation order for Naval Weapons Station Fallbrook and Camp Pendleton's De Luz housing, according to the Camp Pendleton Scout. It has been named the Tomahawk Fire. Officials say the fire has spread to more than 100 acres, the Associated Press reports.

Oh my.
Are you familiar with the town of Crest?
What fool pulls that many police units out of their duties to be escorted around?
probably that fool Moonbeam.
Praying for all in Southern California.
The forests (whats left of them) in CA are going to burn this summer until there is nothing left to burn. The state will be lucky if it gets half an inch of rain this summer.
Thank-you for posting.
Thank-you for your reply.
Turko Files revealed at least one of the fire scenes has been designated as a “crime scene”. Turko himself said he had been suspicious because the fires were all over the place .. which is not the normal pattern of a fire.
What’s weird .. I was thinking that too. They would just barely get one fire under control and suddenly another fire would start up .. miles from the first fire. That surely is not normal.
34 sheet rock you must be a glutton for punishment that thickness is very rare
Have had to stock it before but, I was a Pipeliner back then. We did Water, Sewer, and Storm Drain. In LA they used to just drop ship to the job as it never rains. It’s like 4 complete Lumber Yards on the street.
There were also 4x8 sheets of plywood also flying being peeled off like a deck of cards along with various Sheet metal, roofing, and other items that could do serious injury. The wrought iron fence around the Olympic sized pool was decimated from being hit.
I just shut our job down for three days.
Ah. I thought she lived in Fallbrook. I haven't heard or read anything to indicate a threat in Ramona. The most current info I found, from about an hour ago, is that:
"In Ramona, schools are closed today, as are schools in 28 other districts in the county, and Superintendent Robert Graeff is communicating with other districts about whether schools will reopen Friday. As winds whipped through Ramona yesterday and smoke from other fires in the county was visible, residents flocked to markets to stock up on water and other essentials."
San Marcos fire has roared back to life this afternoon and is threatening many homes.

I challenged him/her/it either to clarify or to apologize for his remark. Let’s give him an adequate opportunity to do so.
You want the The KG9 Kid to apologize for hoping millions of Americans are burned out by wild fires?
Good luck with that.
If you'd have read it instead of typing with your fists and summoning your minions to battle, you'd have read that it wasn't *me* saying the cherry-picked comment "[...] hope California burns all year long".
That's certainly the tragic-comic language Western US FSLA-endowed union firefighters use when all of California's fire control budget turns on like a hydrant gushing out hundreds of millions of dollars every single summer. They come from as far as the Dakotas to get a piece of the action. Many of these firefighters haven't responded to a fire in their home states in years.
No apology is forthcoming.
So, come down off your high horse and tell us, which is it? While you're at it, why not also offer an expression of sympathy to those unfortunates afflicted by these fires?
Finally, I had nothing to do with your post being erased.
You’re asking me to either apologize or banish myself from FR for punctuation. Probably explains why e e cummings doesn’t post here anymore.
If you have further comments for me, send FR mail please.
