This is SO important.
Actually, as there is no extraterrestrial life in our solar system, and other solar systems are too far away for any practicable travel, the questions is moot.

Nor I.
But if there were to be aliens, God is God in their world as well.

So the Vatican knows something? Or will they be a part of the delusion of 2 Thessalonians 2:11?

Shouldn’t the Pope find out if these prospective aliens have a spirit? I mean, they may be technologically advanced and yet have no spirit in their soul of life and operate on a completely utilitarian basis. Baptizing such beings would insult the very reason Jesus was crucified and rose from the tomb! Might as well baptize dogs and cats and ... oh wait!

THIS is what the press chooses to ask him about? That's becasue the press is worries about how they're going to get back to their mother ship.

What if they are all popes already?
To: sickoflibs
Well, goats don’t speak. But if we want to follow the Pope’s argument I guess he’d have to baptize Mr. Ed if he asked to be baptized.

(1) Any being capable of recognizing a need for salvation and who would humbly ask for baptism would, by definition, have a soul.
(2) The Church does not baptize "dogs and cats" - but it does bless them, just as it blesses homes and churches.
