If inland water that has been frozen migrates to the ocean or to ice that is floating on the ocean, then it could lift the ocean.

Ice shelves are already floating, however.

Just about an hour ago I added four ice cubes to my glass of bourbon. They melted and my glass didn't over flow.

Imagine that!

The truth of the matter is that ice floating on the sea would not contribute AT ALL to sea level rise. If they can't be honest about such an insignificant statement, then how can they be trusted with those that really matter?
