DAVIE, Fla. -- It has not been a banner week for Miami Dolphins players on social media.
Just 48 hours after Pro Bowl center Mike Pouncey found himself in hot water over recent Twitter comments, Dolphins second-year player Don Jones tweeted a controversial reaction to the St. Louis Rams drafting Michael Sam, who became the first openly gay player drafted in the NFL.
Soon after Sam was drafted, Jones tweeted "OMG" and "horrible." Those tweets since have been deleted.

It’s weird how many Americans are finding themselves in “hot water” these days over comments they make about sexual deviants. I liked America better when we had a Bill of Rights. You know. The First Amendment, the Second Amendment, etc.
Yep lol
Can’t even get the box score on Spurs and Blazers’ and you have to go through the faggot crap on ESPN. I’m sure the players on the Rams are pissed off they have to shower with the fudger..
It’s a heck of a thing that we can post and get all a twitter over some idiotic thing while the world is falling apart right before us...geez!
slow news day
What’s a Packer doing on the Rams? Oh, wait...
Can’t wait to see what happens if they decide to let him go.
Got to be the worst pick ever made for any team, they will let a prospect player go and keep him just to prove that keeping a homo is more important than keeping a better player.
Get out the popcorn, this is going to be interesting.
ESPN and the other sports media are the ones behind this anyway. No pun intended.
On the NFL Network, Charles Davis addressed this last night. He said that now that Sam has been drafted, people need to get out of the way and allow the Rams to evaluate him as a football player and make decisions on that basis. He said that he believes it will be very difficult for the Rams to do this because any decision they make regarding Michael Sam will be seen from various angles and may not considered to be a pure football decision.
Of course, he’s right, but my first thought hearing him say it was that I wonder if he gives the same consideration to conservatives who criticize President Obama.
I like America better too when we had that Bill of Rights. In fact, I still use that as my “defending document”....
Ah yes...
Do these other player not know social media is now being trolled as we speak looking for ANY comment they can pounce on. You see, they need to make a few ‘examples’ out there to convince everyone to just shut up and go along with it.
What a wonderful example we’re setting. You men will be forced to undress and shower with someone who may be sexually attracted to you or worse - may at any moment accuse one of you of God-knows-what, with the weight of a full-scale NFL investigation to follow.
I bet some NFL agents are getting earfuls from some Rams players right about now.
God help all of us if/when the sodomite is cut from the team.
All you haters need to watch ESPN’s beautiful special interest story about Sam and his boyfriend. They have been trying to have children for more than a year without luck. It was discovered Sam had low sperm count. They are exploring in-vitro options, but have not given up on traditional anal sex means of becoming parents. Let’s all hope they find out the mysterious cause of the infertility problem.
There were still plenty of better players than Sam on the board when he was picked, so you can’t tell me picking him was a “pure football decision.”
Certainly defensive line is not a need the Rams have.
I hope they fail. We don't need anymore liberal lawyers or judges.
Did you notice the Rams had the next pick, too? How did they decide the order for Sam and the player who followed?
I noticed now the fairy is whining that he should have been taken in the third round.
He’s going to wear out his welcome faster than you can say ‘Jack Robinson.’
"It's a celebration. ... I think it's a great thing for the league."
Hickey also said the team plans to "sit down with Don Jones and address [the comments] and handle it appropriately."
The NFL says you MUST CELEBRATE SODOMY!!!
This guy is just begging to get chop blocked.
ESPN’s Rick Reilly and Buster (snicker) Olney were so giddy about covering this non-story that I thought both were suffering from advanced Parkinson’s...
