When I made an appointment to see a VA doctor, I was told that I could be put on a list to be put on “the” list to see a doctor. 18 months later I received notice that I could see a doctor in 6 months. I kept my appointment.

A disability rating takes two to four years, if everything goes okay and you’re lucky.

And when you did see a VA doctor did he speak English? I can’t understand half of what my VA doctor says. He spends 90 percent of my appointment time typing on his PC without saying a word or asking me anything. I have a theory that all of the good doctors are successful and have their own practices and earn big bucks at major hospitals. The bad ones, especially the ones who have been sued so many times they can no longer afford or even get malpractice insurance, all look for safe jobs within the government. The VA doctors also have an attitude that you are lucky just to see them, and if you are not happy then too bad.
