Savage is gaining listeners while Rush, Sean, Beck are all losing a bit. This months Talkers chart has Savage up from 5 million to 5.5, Rush down from 14 to 13.50, Hannity down from 13.25 to 12.75, Beck and levin down from 7.50 to 7.25.

I wonder how they quantify ratings/listener numbers for radio.
Note that this is “analysis” and “estimates”, not actual data.
Sean, well he's smartened up a bit from when his shows would only repeat everything he'd just heard Rush say.
Rush is the best, and Mark Steyn and Walter Williams are his best substitutes. These people have brains, but checked egos and are each funny, to boot.
Savage and Hannity are not worth the price you pay to hear them.
I have a hard time believing Savage is not faking his so-called conservatism. He is so over the top and donated to Moonbeam and lives in San Fransicko.
If you listened to a show for 15 hours a week in the old days, they would say you were 15 listeners.
I hope they don’t still do that
I have to agree with you. I DVR every evening news pundit program on FOX, but not O’Reilly and Hannity. Savage no longer airs, or else he is on at such time when I never hear of him.
Hannity now repeats his own assertions about himself ad nauseum, as parrot s do. “I”, “I”, “I” has become first a distraction, then you begin to count the damn things, and finally you just run from even the sound of his voice.
Too bad, too. Sean is a handsome person, talented and passionate. But, no more for me anyway.
Hannity still has that tendency to turn almost every story in the news into a story all about him. Sometimes that is helpful, other times, it seems indulgent. Why does he even need to be on that much? Sean, already has his own show on Fox TV. For most, that would be a dream come true. Maybe he’s deeply in debt, or has kids in private colleges.
Savage is, well, a walking, talking paradox—which he believes helps make him superior to each of us, despite his inability to ever enunciate something that could unify his “logic” under one roof (his brain). To his credit, he's that rare “conservative” who finds it perfectly rational to donate to Jerry Brown while promoting animal rights. Sadly, that sort of pretzel reasoning is just the tip of his iceberg.
I could handle Sean a bit more if I had heard 4/5ths less name dropping on his radio show.
Are there really 11 million baboons that have radios?
.
I remembered the Moonbeam donation, but had forgotten the San Fransisco link.
There’s plenty more with him, similar to those.
It’s sad, because on rare occasions, he can really knock a point out of the ball park.
There are no “actual data” for AM radio, nor any way of gathering such. It is all applied statistics using a very small sample.
.
I alternate DVR between all four of the Fox evening shows.
>> I just don’t see that he’s got a lot going on up there. <<
A fairly good laboratory vacuum is apparent most of the time.
How many of his listeners are psychologists and psychiatrists just waiting for that final Savage crash? I listened ro him sometimes, but he bounced around topics so much that he seemed like a commercial for “this is your mind off Ritalin”.
the later hour has had an effect on Hannity’s viewership.
UB, I start with Brett Bair, to Greta, to Megan. O’Reilly may have the better hour for ratings, I don’t know, but I don’t watch him or Hannity unless it’s in a walk by. These two can’t even get top tier guests anymore, it’s not just me. :/
There are actual ratings for radio stations, aren’t there, as opposed to this kind of “analysis” that we see from Talkers Magazine?
