After the group Right Wing Watch reported the twins who star in HGTVs recently greenlit reality series Flip It Forward are anti-gay activists, the network said this morning it had given the hook to the series, which was set to debut in October. Yesterday, HGTV said it was currently in the process of reviewing all information about the Benhams and we will provide an update as soon as possible. Then came a tweet today:

Right Wing Watch reported Tuesday that David Benham had led a prayer rally outside of the Democratic National Convention in Charlotte, NC in 2012, in which he told conservative radio host Janet Mefferd that Americas Christian majority must repent for tolerating homosexuality and its agenda that is attacking the nation and demonic ideologies tak[ing] our universities and our public school systems. He also said his brother had joined him in the prayer protest. The group also claimed David leads protests outside of abortion clinics.
HGTV announced at its upfront presentation last month in Los Angeles that it had picked up the home-flipping series about brothers David and Jason Benham. The networks description of the show at the time: After a decade of flipping houses for profit, brothers David Benham and Jason Benham now help families buy the homes they never thought they could afford. In each episode, the guys help a deserving family find a fixer-upper and transform it into their forever home with a healthy dose of sibling rivalry between the brothers along the way. At the same presentation, HGTV also announced it had greenlighted a design competition show from Ellen DeGeneres.
HGTV is about the gayest channel on TV anyway. Every twink and flaming .. is a some kind of designer on there.
I don’t recognize this new America that is developing. I think there are people who are now advancing this witch hunt who will one day become the hunted and then they will go crying for the protections of the Constitution they destroyed.
More and more in this country you are not allowed to have an opinion. The opinion Nazis will get you.
HGTV doesn’t believe in the freedom of thought or the diversity of opinion
Some people still refuse to believe in media bias
I don’t these these liberal socialists give a rats ass about gays. Gays are a small percentage of the population and almost all straights of any political persuasion find gay sexual practices to be disgusting — they just won’t admit it.
However I guarantee liberals are taking careful notes of how quickly they have been able to stifle dissent on gay issues. They want to repeat this success on issues they really DO care about
I went and read the comments - These people now think they are the prevailing culture and that anyone else can go and hump sand (or whatever). They always compare Pro-Life, Pro-Marriage people to Nazi’s. You can see in these people’s comments that they think they have a righteous hatred for anyone who does not hold their view. Once a group or a belief system is demonized this much it is not long before people feel good about doing anything they can to harm them. This is only one step away from either forcing people to hold that view or jailing those who oppose it. All this since the sixties - once something gets a roll on it doesn’t take to long to pick up speed.
It’s time for a divorce - Christians need to split from worldly things and stop playing footsie under the table with evil.
Yep. I quit watching it years ago. I really do not think I have missed a thing.
Notice how the argument used to be years ago if we should tolerate (not criminally prosecute) Sodomites.
Now the leftists have re-framed the argument and center position where if you don’t support ‘gay marriage’ you’re ‘homophobic’ or ‘anti-gay.’
Toleration of sin leads to general depravity and right becomes wrong.
In another ten years, apposing the sexual abuse of underage boys by predator men will be considered ‘homophobic.’
Even ‘homophobic’ - rather than debate, there’s an attack against the person questioning motives and sexuality for the suggesting that homosexuality is immoral. Even a simple investigation of the adverse health effects of the ‘gay lifestyle’ will show it shortens life expectancy worse than cigarette smoking. Yet instead of public health warnings, our government promotes Sodomy throughout the world now.
“anti-gay activists” meaning anything short of practicing phags.
HGTV stands for “He’s Gay T.V.”
Doubtful there has ever been a straight guy on that network.
Thanks 2ndDivisionVet.

I live in a “culturally deprived” neighborhood (no cable). So I’ve never seen it. Looks like I haven’t missed much ;’)
Tolerance is a one way street so I’ve dropped HGTV.
Yes the argument is no longer who is right or who is wrong - the only answer to any question or comment that is not in total support of them is “You are a homophobic, Nazi, hater, bigot”. One day they gunna round you’all up and use those camps and body bags Alex Jones keeps mentioning - I am glad though that in the USA at least many will put up a fight - forget just about anywhere else though!

One of the few things our current conservative government in Australia is doing is to have removed a law which limit’s free speech from it’s books. The lefts response was then people will use bigoted, hateful language etc. The Government’s response is that in a free society a person has the right to be a bigot and everyone else has the right to disagree if they want!
They are not framing the repeal of the law as an undermining of the success of the left to determine, control and regulate the use of language but it is exactly what it is.
Hoorah for Prime Minister Tony Abbott on this point!
On a slightly different note...
I partially blame HGTV and all of their house-flipping shows for the over-building and pushing home prices to the stratosphere during the run-up to 2007 and the housing market collapse.
Also the McMansion came into play during that time and HGTV was right in there pumping the bigger is better meme.
