My 100 year old mother died last month in CA. Should I notify voter registration, or will that just make it easier for someone to vote in her place?

I am sorry for your loss.

I don’t think it matters either way. Anybody can vote here, anytime.

Sincerest condolences on your loss.

To answer your question, notify the Registrar of Voters of the county she was registered in.

Even if they are able to verify her passing quickly, keep in mind this is the ROV’s busy season and rosters will be printed shortly if not already, so she’ll likely remain on the roster index for the June 3 election, but after that she likely will be removed by the November election.
