My answer to this is much too long.
Here's the bottom line: In November, 1972 Nixon got 520 electoral votes and 61% of the popular vote. The Democrats, and their allies in the media, decided to get rid of him, damn the cost.
They made a plan that would take 18 months to bear fruit. Their media was perfect. Their strategy in the courts was perfect.
But they started with a simple premise - that Watergate was a crime, and that other crimes had been committed to cover it up. In this, they were correct. By staying focused, they reversed one of the most lopsided elections in our history.
Benghazi was NOT a crime. Benghazi was the exercise of discretionary authority. The President is not obliged to insert light forces into urban combat. Not ever.
The Republicans are not determined to remove Obama. If you shoot at the king, you have to shoot to kill. They have been dicking around for eighteen months.
No President has ever been removed by the Congress. Nixon came very close - but that's because the investigative process would have proved that he was guilty of crimes.
Obama is guilty of many crimes, but the IRS is the way to get him out.
Benghazi is a distraction - which is why they've chosen it.
