This just proves the Irish are the coolest people on Earth. Irish immigrants were mistreated here, but you’d almost never know it. When the Irish got their St. Patrick’s Day, they invited everyone to be Irish for a day and have a party. Every other group does’t wants other people to share their holiday.
Anything that offends Americans is OK.
So! To celebrate defeating the French, we should drink Russian beer (1812), British beer (1815), German beer (1815, 1870, 1940), and Mexican beer (1868).

Tacos and Tequila, and of course Dos Equis, on Bastille Day.

I’ve seen people who will party for any reason. Celebrating someone else’s holiday with food and alcoholic beverages is even better if it makes you more socially correct.
It is a little hypocritical for Mexicans to promote their holiday to everyone and then get mad if they celebrate with tequila and Taco Bell.

Neither does Mexico, except for recent spill over from the USA. Historically, it went unnoticed there.
The proper and respectful way to celebrate Cinco de Mayo is to shoot muskets at Frenchmen.
Then you’re missing the main point…..but go ahead, no law against missing the main point.
