Two teenage boys were killed after attempting to burglarize a home along Arcade Boulevard.
Sacramento Police responded to a burglary just after midnight on Sunday morning. When they arrived, they found two suspects had been shot and killed by the occupants.
Neighbors said the owner is an elderly woman, who has been a victim of several burglaries since her husband passed away.
This Easter, she was robbed, and so she had replaced her deadbolt locks with double locking deadbolts and they still got in after that, friend and neighbor, Celeste Gawehn said.
Gawehn said her the woman asked a family member to stay with her, in case she was burglarized again. We are told, her family member fired several rounds in self defense, and killed the intruders 17-year-old Steven Crider and 14-year-old Michael Sambrano.

The only thing that bothers me is that the old lady wasn’t armed-up herself. There has to be a way for us to get grannies, even relatively frail ones, comfortable with a firearm, so that NO ONE out there thinks anybody is an easy target. But still a very happy ending, and many, many people (maybe dozens) will NOT be victims of these two clowns in the future - and also that our criminal justice system will not have to deal with them.
Pretty sure they were aspiring rap artists, too...
Just needing some change for some skittles and AZ Tea to make a little purple drank. The footsteps of Travon Martin are hard to follow! The hole in the chest is a life stopper!
Will their Hoodies be added to the Smithsonian?
Bet you anything something will turn up.
Reason why I'm so certain of this is that the last time I read a story about some robbers shot to death by a homeowner during a break-in, the media sympathetically covered the weeping family members who proclaimed "He was ['a good boy', 'turning his life around', 'thinking of going back to get his GED', 'never hurt anyone', 'etc.']" and how difficult it was going to be without the deceased family member, and so on...
Later on it turned out that a search warrant of the family's property on an unrelated charge led police to finding lots of stolen property that the family was supporting themselves with up by fencing up until the point that their best wage-earning burglar got shot and killed.

I love a happy ending. *sniff*
Yup, she should be rewarded similar to a whistleblower. If you shoot an intruder who has a record, you get $1000 for the initial cap plus $500 for each offense on their rap sheet!
That was a comment from the dead burglars friend, so ya shouldn’t expect much from them.
There used to a group (Dead Serious) that wanted to set something up like that. I used to carry my membership card until someone told me that motive could be questioned in the event of an altercation...
Better yet, a little taxidermy and she can mount their heads on a plaque

That is good for a ‘start’.
Take the cue from local Police and School districts that will take a car that was driven by a drunk student and crashed and then they tow the car to the entrance to the school so ALL students and others see what the results of drunk driving may get you.
Instead of the stuff heads, just put a plaque outside of the house with the names, dates etc somewhat like the makeshift ‘memorials’ that get placed along the highway.
Of course the ‘family’ may want to put flowers and pics in your front yard to ‘grieve’ for the one(s) shot, but just thank them and include there contribution in your ‘warning’ memorial.
OR... just paint figures on the door frame. One figure per kill, five to become an ace.

Be a good business to start up.
Get the silhouettes and paint them on the door or even the curb, like when the house #’s get painted....
If you want to make it a ‘warning’, put them in ‘day glo paint’, if you want to remain stealth, just leave the images up.
Could start having contests but got a feeling that after the first 3 or 4 ‘victims’ the jokers would be searching out other neighborhoods.....
