With so many illegals driving around the country without licenses, going to arrest one guy in some tiny tribal outpost in the Alaskan wilderness seems beyond ridiculous.

Good point. In most towns illegals drive totally illegally and are then given favors, prizes, and government has lots of sympathy to the point where it's all but ignored.
