I agree, and it's not the first foolish decision he's made recently. He had a 2.2 million dollar mini-mansion built for his residence, but the word got out, and the complaints about someone who took a vow of poverty living in such luxurious quarters has forced him to put the house on the market.

Well, the good archbishop must be unaware of the Catholic Cathecism, #2265: Catechism of the Catholic Church

He's going by the radical left USCCB's most recent policy on guns The USCCB has a long history of being anti-gun, pro wealth transfer, supporting illegal immigration, etc. In fact except for reproductive issues, they're in line with the progressive wing of the Democratic party.
