While I am not a police officer or an attorney, I have watched every episode of Law & Order. From that, I have learned that sometimes great investigative police work requires deception via the media in order to “smoke out” the offenders. Typically, the offenders will read about their crime in the newspapers and will do something rash either inadvertently or intentionally as they get very nervous when the legal authorities are on their tail.
So just be very patient.
They started the investigation in September 2011, when Arpaio was invited to a Tea Party gathering in AZ and the people there asked him to investigate if 0bastard was legally eligible to run for president.
So if Arpaio started that month, he would have been investigating for about 2 1/2 years. Of course it took him a bit of time to get the cold case posse organized. So that is not a long time to investigate multiple crimes committed by more than one person.
