In a segment that even Rush Limbaugh admitted would probably get picked up by an army of his critics (hi!), the conservative radio host pretty much ran with a caller's theory today that Clippers owner Donald Sterling was set up.
That theory makes one big assumption: that Magic Johnson, the subject of Sterling's latest recorded racist rant, orchestrated the whole controversy in order to open up an opportunity to buy the Clippers for a lower price.
Sterling was suspended for life from the NBA today, and the league will try to force him to sell his team.

Rush brought that up briefly today, who's the next owner to get booted simply because they're against same sex marriages?
Look what happened to Brendan Eich, the Mozilla ex-CEO..........
Sterling is obviously a racist bigot but IMHO, he has that right and it's not that this is the first time his racism has been revealed. They've known about him for decades........
I don't know if he was set up or not but the fact remains that he was recorded in a private conversation and that tape was used to destroy him. That bothers me a lot........
Consider this: I've been retired for 7 years now and am constantly voicing my conservative opinions in the local papers here in S.E. Michigan. If I were still working and my managers were flaming libtards, they could possibly use whatever I said in those opinion sections of the papers to terminate me.
That appears to be the direction this country is heading........
OK, so Magic Johnson knows Sterling so well that he knows having his picture taken with Sterling’s bimbo will send Sterling off on a racist rant which Johnson also knows she will record and turn over to TMZ. He also has inside information that as a result Sterling will be banned from the NBA for life and will sell his team, which Johnson will then snap up for chump change. That pretty much sum the theory up?
Magic Johnson. She has posted pictures with him. He and his partners will wind up with the team at a very reduced price, then they'll load it up with every free agent they can. (No white guys, though.)
To his wife.
I think the other team owners can reject that sale.Franchises are not the same as outright ownership.
Let me see if I understand this. Latrell (Latrine) Sprewell tried to choke his coach to death and he’s suspended for 68 games. Ron Artest (now ironically named Metta World Peace) starts a fight with fans in the stands that becomes a major, all-encompassing brawl (The Malice at the Palace) and he gets 73 games plus playoffs. Donald Sterling says some offensive things and he’s banned for life from “any association” with his team (the Clippers) or the NBA. (Can he still watch the game on TV? Wear the team sweatshirt?) Are these screwed-up priorities or what?
The Donald Sterling situation is a distraction by the partisan “mainstream” media to try to rile up minorities and further divide the country for the political benefit of Democrats, who know that as of now, they would most likely lose the Senate. The irony is that Sterling has made just about all of his political contributions to Democrats.
Sell to a Saudi King who won’t even let his wives drive a car and is anti-homosexual. Might even own REAL slaves.
WHAT FUN!
