I am not licensed in the State of California. The talking-head attorneys on TV claim that, if Sterling knew the conversation was being recorded, the audio is legally admissible as evidence under California law.

If you know of specific California or federal law to the contrary, please post it. "Expectation of privacy" is a term from Fourth Amendment law.
