A federal judge in Milwaukee has struck down Wisconsin's voter Identification law, saying it unfairly burdens poor and minority voters.
U.S. District Judge Lynn Adelman issued his long-awaited decision Tuesday. It invalidates Wisconsin's law.
Wisconsin's law would have required voters to show a state-issued photo ID at the polls. Supporters said it would cut down on voter fraud and boost public confidence in the integrity of the election process.
But Adelman sided with opponents, who said it disproportionately excluded poor and minority voters because they're less likely to have photo IDs or the documents needed to get them.
Wisconsin's law was only in effect for a 2012 primary before a Dane County judge declared it unconstitutional.

I sometimes wonder if the best way to get Voert ID would be to infiltrate Democrat groups and then loudly whine about “Republican Vote Cheating” and make the SAME common sense observations from THE OTHER side of the isle and maybe the morons over there would not “Knee Jerk Dissaprove” because it was comming from a fellow “rat”.
Throw in a few PC buzzwords and we could probably have it by the end of the week, but it would take a month for the poor freeper who infiltrated their ranks to wash and scrub the stench from themselves...

The judge is a liar.
No way that it’s a violation to document that you live in the area in which you are voting and that you are eligible to vote.
First, that should be done at registration. Then you should have to show ID to document that you are the person on the voter rolls that you claim to be.
In fact, not doing so violates my constitutional right to have my vote count.
I would almost believe that insane people would make better politicians than the people up there now...

SCOTUS has upheld voter id laws in other states, so I'm not sure why the Wisconsin law has been rejected, other than the usual Democratic Party hackery.

The Indiana Voter ID law has been before the Supreme Court twice and was upheld both times. I believe the Wisconsin law was modeled closely to the Indiana law. This ruling should be overturned, but who knows.
