“.. his family has chosen to bury him in Kentucky”.

He’s home. I feel so sorry and yet happy for his nephew who remembered his Uncle so fondly. He taught him how to throw a curve ball, came to his games and he remembers hugging all of them before leaving. I can only imagine that it is a comfort to have him buried near their home and to fully know what happened to him. (I say this because I think it is better to know what happened then to have a lifetime of wondering).

My Dad was a veteran of the ETO...
He said the Heroes were the ones
that did not get to come home.
