“Cliven Bundy, who is well into his seventies”
He’s 67. He’ll turn 68 on April 29.

Right off the bat, I have felt that attacks against Cliven Bundy were nothing but a pro-Obama, leftist witch hunt.
Unfortunately none of what you posted is manifested when he opens his mouth and inserts his foot. It is unfortunate. He needs to shut up.
That’s your opinion. We differ.
Agreed 100%.
Amen to every bit of that. spot on!
We do indeed.
IMHO, we all get into a world of hurt when we think we have to have others parse our words for us...to make sure we are somehow passing someone else's litmus test.
So Cliven Bundy has a few warts. We all do.
What he stood up for against the Federal government was worth standing up for.
The answer he gave to the news reported (which I am almost 100% sure was a set up), though not eloquent, did hit on a critical issue in our country. And that issue is the way the liberal progressives are using the federal government to enslave whole groups of people. Economic, mental, and emotional slavery perhaps...but slavery just the same.
I feel sorry for Bundy, but also the rest of us, as well. Disappointing how eager some radio and TV folks are to be concerned about what the libtards think. The right answer was, “who the hell gave the NY Slimes the right to decide an American can be destroyed for telling the feral gummint to kiss his butt. WhatEVER else they claim he has done or said?”. Not in this day of gummint run amuck. I suppose if they could dredge up pedophilia I would reconsider. If he was to turn up homo he’d be a damn HERO to the NY Slimes so that’s pretty unlikely.
Jason Bullock is also a black Amereican.
Here's what he had to say about Cliven Bundy when asked by CNN if Mr. Bundy's remarks on race offended him.
"No, not at all. Mr. Bundy is not a racist.
"Ever since I've been here, he's treated me with nothing but hospitality. He's pretty much treating me just like his own family.
"I would take a bullet for that man if need be. I look up to him just like I do my own grandfather.
"I believe in his cause and after having met Mr. Bundy, I have a really good feel about him and I'm a pretty good judge of character."
That pretty much speaks for itself.
I believe CCN has a video of that interview with Bullock.
As well as slavery in the north. Slavery was not exclusive to the southern U.S. Why point out only the south?
This man's name is Jason Bullock. He is a is a six-year Army veteran who is out in Nevada and has volunteered to serve as one of Cliven Bundy's bodyguards.
As you can see, Jason Bullock is also a black American.
That's what he had to say about Cliven Bundy, early this week, after Bundy's remarks were widly reported, and when CNN interviewed Bullock and asked him if Cliven Bundy's remarks had offended him.
"No, not at all. Mr. Bundy is not a racist.
"Ever since I've been here, he's treated me with nothing but hospitality. He's pretty much treating me just like his own family.
"I would take a bullet for that man if need be. I look up to him just like I do my own grandfather. I believe in his cause and after having met Mr. Bundy, I have a really good feeling about him and I'm a pretty good judge of character."
That pretty much speaks for itself.
That video that I posted above, of Bundy's Black Militia Bodyguard says all that needs to be said.
You're just in our way.

No.
If you do not want to talk aabout it...then you are free to go to another thread.
As it is, the issue of how the government social welfare/subsidy programs are destroying whole groups of people is a very valid one, and Bundy was right to point it out.
Parse words? I ‘seen’ the video (Bundy speak). It’s painful to watch. However Bundy is a victim. Victims can be all sorts of people - good, bad, ugly. They can have warped views about all sorts of things. Thus Bundy would be well advised to shut up so the focus is shifted away from his views to the feds’ seizure of land and cattle. We need to stay on offense.
I agree with that sentiment without reservation. I suggest, however, that we conservatives don’t need to rehash Bundy’s malapropism over and over. That allows the other side to set the terms of debate.
The issue is federal overreach, not Bundy’s lack of media savvy.
Well, if stating my opinion about Bundy’s comments is your (abb) version of “rehashing Bundy’s malapropism,” then we disagree fundamentally.
As I say, the issue of how the government social welfare/subsidy programs are destroying whole groups of people is a very valid one, and Bundy was right to point it out. it is part and parcel of the sme issue, and Bundy recognizes this.
As to parsing words, plain talk, yes. When you have to have a PR spokesmen speak for you to somehow ensure that your words do not offend anyone, that’s what I would call it.
But we do not need any such thing now. We now have a veteran who is one of Bundy’s militia body guards, who has spent a lot of time there, and who is also black who is defending Bundy, and speaking very directly to CNN on why.
I’d watch that if you have not already.
In addition, we also have a verteran US Marine, who is also black, who has spent time with Bundy saying exactly the same thing and taking issue with the media’s portrayal, and taking to task people like Beck and Hannity who are deserting Bundy.
Those guys would be in a position to perhaps know more about the man, and the fact that they are black and still defending him, depsite his comments...and agreeing with him...seems to speak pretty clearly for itself.
I will go with their opinions and their take on the matter.
Well have a nice weekend jeff. I’ve said all I need to say about it.
