There was a time when calling a black person “black” was considered insulting. I guess that the Spanish “negro” (meaning black) and the Latin term “niger” (meaning black) being combined left them fed up with the whole black thing so they decided they wanted to be called colored. Hence the “National Association for the Advancement of Colored People”. Then they decided that being called colored was insulting and decided they wanted to be called Negro again. Hence the “United Negro College Fund”. Then they decided Negro was insulting and started calling themselves black again. Hence the “Black Panthers”. Then they briefly decided they wanted to be called afro-Americans but I blame that on the 70’s. Then they decided black was ok again but started using “people of color”. I guess they thought this was better than colored, but it's splitting hair to me. Then the infamous “African-American” politically correct term took over. I guess black is the politically correct term of the day...but really can you give some older white guy in a desert a really hard time about not keeping up with what black people want to be called? If he had listened to any gangsta rap over the last decade he might have thought they wanted to be called “niggas”. Can you imagine collective apoplexy if he had used that term? Although it sure seemed ok when former KKK member Democrat senator Byrd used a familiar disparaging term for black people yet still got a 100% approval ratings from the NAACP. The outrage sure seems selective doesn't it?

Black is not a behavior but they take it as if.
It is a case of projection.
