These were just normal Ukrainians who are upset about having their own government and so sad about not being ruled by Putin's comforting iron fist.
They asked the Spetnaz (oops! I meant "local Russian self-defense organizations" - Sorry!) to hide them from the specter of Western-style dangers like autonomy and freedom.
They are finally safe.
I believe 100% that Putin wants to take over all of Ukraine, but will be happy with the East. However, you realize it’s best if this administration does nothing don’t you? I mean, they don’t do anything without ensuring their actions will hurt American interests.
I think Ukraine aught to just give up the East, but that’s their business. We should just let this play out.
Looks like Al Qaeda has a new branch in operation.
Putin is overplaying his hand. The more anarchy and mayhem the Russians astroturf in the east the less local support they will have for intervention. They never had majority support for separatism. If they had majority support Putin would have allowed the May 25 elections to proceed.
Would you want to ruled by a government who gives guns to the killers of your city councilman? Ukraine may be a mess economically but with each Russian supported atrocity nostalgia for Soviet times evaporates in the east.
KyivPost. Now there’s an reliable independent source.
Wonder how Pravda would report this. Probably blame the Nazis.
No need to rely on the Kyiv Post for this info. The Russians are parading the hostages Al Qaeda style for their own TV cameras. I expect a beheading any day now.
Those aren’t Russian hostage-takers. Those are Right Sector Nazis pretending to be Russians. RT tweeted it, so it must be true.

Those brilliant Russians don’t seem to realize it’s probably not a good idea to parade hostages blindfolded when your adversaries are accusing you of being terrorists.
