SUMMERVILLE, S.C. — Sen. Lindsey Graham recognized the threat years before it had a chance to form — and knew immediately what he had to do.
After the tea party wave in the 2010 election, right-wing groups were itching to get one of South Carolina’s newly elected conservative congressmen to challenge Graham, the blunt-spoken, deal-making congressional veteran of two decades. Rep. Mick Mulvaney, a favorite of the grass roots, was high on their list.
So when Graham got wind in 2012 that Mulvaney wanted a seat on the House Financial Services Committee, he quietly lobbied his longtime friend, Speaker John Boehner, to make it happen. During regular dinners and breakfast meetings, the senator made clear to Mulvaney and other up-and-comers in the delegation that he was there to help with their districts’ needs. All the while, Graham was busy assembling a daunting multimillion-dollar political operation.
Lo and behold, Mulvaney and others thought better of taking on Graham when the time came. “Not being able to win is a really good reason not to run,” Mulvaney said in an interview.
Graham’s deft maneuvering shows why he’s become the dominant political figure in this deeply red state and is skating to another six years even as he’s angered the base on immigration and other hot-button issues. Far from pandering to the party’s tea party wing in order to get reelected, he’s challenging it head-on: Graham warns that the GOP is caught in a “death spiral” with minorities, says it needs to get real about climate change and defends his move to open debate on gun control legislation after a school massacre.

Boehner is the chief liberal republican protector. What an asset we have on our hands. Redistrict out conservatives two years ago, promote entrenched members who vote for personal advancement over principle. Fund the left-most Republicans. What a successful party up there in DC.

Last I read, Doormat Republican Boehner was “Hellbent” on ramming through the House Obama’s Amnestry Bill for Illegal Alien Invaders from Mexico.
Doormat Boehner knows that Obama can’t get this done without Boehner’s help, as the already passed Democrat Senate Amnesty Bill for Illegal Alien Invaders from Mexico will die this Session of Congress unless Boehner comes to the rescue of Democrat Feudal Lord Reid, and Democrat Tyrant Obama.
Boehner also knows that unless Obama’s Opinion Poll ratings go up, Republicans will win in a Landslide, but Boehner will have the unwanted problem of a new class of Patriotic Freshmen House members that are from the dreaded TEA Party.
Hence, Boehner must do all he can to not allow the Democrats to lose by the predicted Landslide margin of defeat in the Mid Term Election of 2014.
Obama knows that the only on-paper accomplishment for him is his convincingly failed Obamacare Socialized Health Insurance Tax, commonly known as OSHIT.
Obama needs the House to pass an Amnesty Bill to demonstrate that he is worthy of a higher poll rating.
Thus, passage of a House Amnesty Bill for the Illegal Alien Invaders from Mexico, and their offspring, will help both Boehner and Obama continue on their mutually beneficial, joint venture of “Fundamentally transforming the United States of America.”
In the four years that Doormat Boehner has protected Obama from all of the many violations of the US Constitution, the many, Many, MANY Derelictions of Duty and scandals, there has never been as loyal a permissive Speaker to a corrupt Administration than permissive, Doormat Boehner has been to the entire corrupt, tyrannical Obama Administration.
History will not be kind to Doormat Republican Boehner or his supporters in the House Republican Leadership including Cantor, McCarthy, and Ryan.
Always one to boast with a TV speech on how “sad” he is at the illegality of the rogue Obama Administration and Democrat Reid Senate, Doormat Boehner has always shied away from during the honorable thing by choosing to never enforce the US House Laws of the United States of America.
The limit to Doormat Boehner’s tolerance for obvious Federal corruption has yet to be reached.
Speaker (?) Johnny Boehner has become the Poster Boy for everything that is rotten in the once formerly GREAT Republican Party.
It is small wonder then that the Republican National Committee and their donors so enthusiastically approve of the “Doormat to Democrats” tactics of Mr. Doormat himself, House Speaker Johnny “The Sobber” Boehner!
Doormat Boehner knows that Obama will reward him for the loyal protection that Boehner has constantly provided for Obama for over four very long years.
Money is NOT something needed by Multimillionaire Boehner, but perhaps Boehner would accept an Obama appointment to be the United States Ambassador to Libya?
Graham isn't getting 50% and in a run-off, I like the chances of the closest challenger (currently Lee Bright). Hopefully, all of the national groups (like SCF, NRA, Tea Party Express, CFG, Heritage, etc.) are saving their gunpowder to shower upon the run-off challenger in the short two-week campaign between the initial primary and the final run-off election.
The primary is June 10.

Hysterical. This pollutico "puff piece" on Grahamnesty challenging the Tea Party head-on completely opposes his campaign message that he really is a conservative.
These blatant contradictions are great fodder for ads by the challengers.
