If the consumers want this some enterprising cell manufacturer will offer it and outsell the ones that don’t have it. Or not, but no need for gov’t involvement.
To: gorush
Just curious, which article and section of the Constitution do they feel gives them the power to do this? It's in there. Near the bottom...

My ham radio already has a remote kill switch installed. Good to go !!! NOT.

Someone will come up with a hack for it pretty quickly, I'm sure. None of the other big-brother crap has lasted very long out in the real world.

I'm for basically repealing to the Constitution and bill of rights and first few amendments up to the 15th. ok don't like 1800 then 1900.
where in the Constitution does it say slavery is a right?
we are all becoming the slaves now of the government. use the race card much? the media makes everything about race as if that were always the top thing on peoples minds. obviously it is yours as in the liberal media's agenda to use that as a distraction and club

Time to do a little homebrew electronics. I've got a 6-meter qrp rig built inside an Altoids can that I'm SURE doesn't have a kill switch.
Building a radio today is much easier than when I was a kid. 73s

I'm sure the wannabe Confederates would love to have Slavery be legal again.... As would the yankee slaveholders and yankee bankers who made millions off of slavery. Don't be an ignorant snob.

May be to time to brush up on Mr. Morse’s code.
Be nice to get that ‘old bug’ up and running before I go SK.
Be nice to see the old ‘Dinosaur’ tactics ‘save the world’ as we know it....

Yeesh. Scratch a liberal and find a fascist.
Dude... Just let the industry work this out. There’s already good apps for tracking stolen phones. These same apps let me remotely lock or wipe my phone. Yes, it’s a good idea for anybody with a smart phone to have this capability. But not everything that’s a good idea needs to be required by law. Just as not everything that’s a bad idea must be banned by law.
Just butt out. Smarter people than you are already way ahead of you on this. Take off the jackboots and go on vacation or something. Yeesh.

I've got a straight key on a thigh clamp that can be use for mobile CW QSOs. I've actually done that while driving. It was during a field day in the late 90s. It looks like this:

I only have a dumb phone. I uses it to make and receive phone calls.
I don’t need to surf the web and all of that other good stuff from my cell phone.
