they should have had a US attorney on the scene, at least on the phone as well as a film crew to document the historical event and prevent/evidence violations of civil rights.
Where are the pictures of them shooting the cows? Chasing them with helicopters? Confronting the protestors? transparency my butt.
From my perspective the military and BLM was there on orders from Soetero to instigate the ranchers and militia into firing first. Think Fort Sumter and the South firing on it.

If this standoff had turned ugly and people had found out that it was the military and BLM were the ones who fired first I personally think the District of Criminals would have turned into a full-fledged war zone.
