Frazier Glenn Miller Called Hotline To Vent
The notorious white supremacist charged with fatally shooting three people outside of Jewish community centers near Kansas City reportedly called a Jewish hotline weeks earlier to rant to a rabbi about getting rid of every Jew.
Frazier Glenn Cross, 73, was connected to Rabbi Menachem Siegal, director of the United Jewish Communities of Eastern Europe and Asia when he called a hotline on March 30, the New York Post reported.
Cross, a former Ku Klux Klan leader, blasted Siegal for raising money for Jews because they cause all of the problems and destroyed the whole economy in the United States and the world.
He started going on a rampage and said Hitler should have finished off the job, Siegal told The Post.
He kept calling me, You Jews. He said, You Jews are the ones that destroyed the whole economy in the United States and the world and he said, You guys control all of the money.
Siegal provided the paper a copy of the call log and caller ID for the conversation that lasted 10 minutes.
Cross referenced Hitler five times in the conversation, but did not hint to the rabbi that he planned to go on a killing spree. The Department of Justice is investigating the phone call as part of its probe.
Cross allegedly killed three people, including a 14-year-old boy, during two shootings in Overland Park last Sunday. None of the victims were Jewish.

Rereading, perhaps not, I may have assumed Justice was provided with the transcript after the March 30 call rather than after the shootings. If earlier as I assumed, the question is whether it was taken seriously.
So this guy was advertising his potential for extreme violence. And the FBI knew of it? This is an agency famous - actually infamous - among law enforcement people for refusing to give out any information, for only taking.
If true, this would explain why so many liberal politicians are hot for gun confiscation as a solution to mass murder. They’re too stupid to recognize those about to commit violence even when they scream their intentions to the heavens above.
I may have misunderstood. It’s not clear when they were given the March 30 warning.
I hadn't heard that one before.
If he is a former KKK member, then the odds are 100-1 that he's a Democrat. And Hitler was a socialist. But the Vast Right Wing Conspiracy will get the blame, no doubt.
As we mourn the fatalities in kansas... I am shocked to realize that the killer glen miller called me 2 weeks ago thru the our organizations 24 hour donate hotline and started cursing out all Jews and was saying that hitler should have come to the USA and killed the rest of us...If I would have known the future I would have reported him... May all the victims rest in peace and those injured have a Refuah shelaima... Next year in Jerusalem!!
I just phoned that kike charity number, 718-676-4099. I got voice mail then pressed number 3 for a represenative. Young male jew answered. 5-7 minute conversation. I let it all hang out about filthy, kike parasites and war mongers - Hitler was right, etc., before the kike hung up. I got him all shook up, and he practically foamed at the mouth, but he at least tried feebly and whiningly to debate me. Not a bright, informed jew, a'tall. For example, he emphatically denied the present PM of Ukraine is a jew. Why don't yaw'll have a chat with it ?? Great fun and day brightener listening to it yell and stutter.
Maybe the Yids in that area will learn when seconds count the cops are only minutes or hours away. And then they’ll start carrying.
He targeted the facilities. Don't know about Missouri, but it's been decades since most Jewish schools and camps had any prominent signage, some have none. Many synagogues have had restricted entry for decades. And some pay no attention to the threats at all.
Maybe, maybe not

We need to be extremely careful. First, we still have a 1st Amendment in this country and people have a right to say inflammatory things. I read it every day on here and I imagine you can read stuff like that on DU. You can’t have it both ways and hindsight is always 20/20.
Regardless of what they knew or didn’t know, and it’s certainly unclear, we should be careful about demanding action. People often say inflammatory things, but people rarely act on them. Do we want the FBI monitoring every comments section for news stories and acting immediately upon them? I don’t. That seems to be the insinuation by some in response to this story.
A slippery slope and we have all seen how each opposing administration can influence what is inflammatory and what is not. This man was full of hate, but there are many on every side of every issue that are full of hate. While often ignorant, it is not often a crime or an accurate predictor of a criminal act.
It's true they rarely act on them. But some do, and those who do, usually there are indicators in their background. Given the killers felony record and record of advocating violence, and the presumably extensive knowledge the FBI would have on a former informer, it would have been reasonable to follow up. In the absence of a complaint, nothing could be done.
Interesting question I'd like to see answered. How did a convicted felon obtain firearms. Specifically, was it due to the clear social security number the witness protection program provided him. If so, that's a problem.
well he shot 3 Christians
Yes, he did
I suspect he was trotted out by ‘southern poverty law center’ types to ‘prove’ how horrible the vast right wing conspiracy was. I also suspect some in the FBI were in on it.
The professor who had this man out to speak to his class should be questioned - it's unlikely they traveled in the same circles.

the rabbi’s reaction leads me to believe ranting calls like this are a dime a dozen
people are so folking dumb
but I grew up in Kansas City
we have a vibrant and lovely Jewish community
we all get along
many of us Christian kids grew up swimming at the fantastic pools at the Jewish Community Center
I got my senior lifesaving badge at Jewish Day Camp
Nor I have I seen here any mention of the arrest in the “freeway shootings” also in the KC area:
The arrestee? Mohammed Whitaker
It seems likely that he intended to shoot Jews and made a mistake. I’m sure we all agree that a violent loon like this is not clear headed enough to think through a lot of what he’s going to do.
Probably. I can't fault him for not reporting it. You can find pretty much the same stuff all over the internet. As the head of an organization, couldn't fault him for reporting it.
