I don't want to be treated by a doctor that has been compelled to treat me. That sounds to like a recipe for a short life span.

But that will be coming. As the brightest students avoid medicine and head instead into finance, we will end up with lower-rung candidates as future physicians. Education costs will continue to escalate and the government will adopt a military academy model for creating doctors. In exchange for future service, student educations will be paid for by your taxes. After graduation, these new docs will be deployed to areas for a stipulated period.

Once government controls the supply of doctors, affirmative action candidates will be inserted to raise the numbers of future doctors who “look like me.”
