While I would like to receive the benefits of the pipeline (lower prices, less reliance on oil from Venezula and the Middle East) I am certainly glad this will negatively impact Senate and House elections this fall. Obama just lost the congress ... completely. After this winter people understand the cost of energy. More importantly, the vast a mojority of people that use oil for heat live in blue states.

Pros and cons notwithstanding I have to agree that the Kenyan has kissed off the Senate with this dumbass move. He’s not such a heavy thinker that the situation is complicated. At this point I expect he’s just in it for the money. As with the Clintons he’s just gonna spend his last couple years sucking in money to his own campaign fund (which oughta be illegal) which he will use to buy friends and protect his own sorry skin for the next couple decades. Notice that he hasn’t said much about funding his own Hut library? So he has to milk his envirofreek friends while they’re milkable.
