NEW YORK (CNNMoney) - A security breach at Michaels Stores lasted eight months and affected about 3 million customers, the company said Thursday.
The news comes three months after the nation's largest crafts chain told customers it learned of a possible hack. It's been investigating since then.
Some customers' credit and debit card numbers as well as expiration dates were compromised, but the company said there is no evidence that information such as a customers' names or PINs were stolen.

These so called “hackers” must be lower than whale **** to steal the information of a bunch of little old ladies. Probably Russkis or Muzzies.
“no evidence that information such as a customers’ names or PINs”
I find that difficult to believe.

NSA?
Someone attempted to use my credit card following the Michael’s hack. I had to close that account and get a new one.
Was all this hacking of major retailers occurring in the “dark ages” under Bush? I don’t recall that, not of retailers and such, organisations with millions of people’s sensitive financial and personal information. Back before all the “new and improved” technology we supposedly have now. I don’t believe that it’s a coincidence either.
I would say go to Hobby Lobby but one of my best friends works at Michaels.
Actually I think that the electronic fraudster lower-than-low award goes to scammers who pose as American or British servicemen on dating sites.
