... Kristine, 44, told a 911 operator that Richard, 47, was hallucinating, scaring their three kids, and asking to be killed; she said he may have consumed edible marijuana and that their gun was locked in a safe, 9News reports. At 9:32pm, dispatchers reported domestic violence to two officers, adding that Richard had been smoking marijuana, the Post reports. ...

The article is written from the standpoint of why it took the police 15 minutes to get there when the station was only a minute away.

But to me the real story is that it's yet another pschotic break caused by pot.

All of us taxpayers will now be paying SS survivor benefits for three kids, thanks to Colorado pot laws.

Yep, it's apparent the man never touched the stuff until CO legalized it. It's also apparent he didn't have any organic brain/psycho issues before that too.

I can tell, I read it right here.

So............columbine seems to be the benchmark of things to come for these stupid idiot politicians in colorado who pass laws and the citizenry now have to deal with crazies high on pot, alchol and meth. I also see this as a way to numb the public to the fact that they will be overwhelmed with mexicans in a short while

So after all of these years of people saying that pot will cause you to commit assaults like this, without any real examples, we finally get one story (that must have been posted here 8 times), and that is the proof that we need to spend billions keeping people from smoking a plant, which we haven’t done a good job of?

And we have the nerve to scream at libs for taking ever murder done with a firearm as an excuse to ban guns?

More potheads are encouraged to drive while high (crazy on highways), extreme gun control laws devised to prosecute tourists and newcomers (”locals” all grandfathered in), gas $3.799 a gallon and likely to skyrocket after Memorial Day, herds of cattle confiscated by local governments, extreme regulations against building anything (even pole barns) in remote, sparsely populated areas, “wetlands” threats, property tax hikes regardless of real estate not selling, impact fees, couple loses big to a county government in a ski area on eminent domain,... That’s Calirado.

This story was hashed (sorry) out yesterday with a lot of good comments (and arguments) regarding the potential for hallucinogenic reactions.

What is going to become evident soon (although it should be perceived already) is the actual real world result of legalizing pot. I don’t mean violent crimes per se, but rather how the judicial system and JBTs will exploit the new paradigm to get high(er) on power. Because the current levels aren’t giving them the same thrill, they always need more.

Like the sins of republicans, any mj-related crime is going to get a lot of attention. Does MADD have a sister named Mothers Against Doped Drivers?

Don't you understand that what the drug warriors want is so important that hyperbole, emotional arguements, and deceit are all acceptable tools. I mean if they can stomach jack boots kicking in doors and killing dogs what is a little intellectual dishonesty to them.

And how exactly did making it legal lead to this?

You seem to think the guy never touched the stuff prior to legalizing it...

You could say exactly the same thing about guns - and liberals do say it...

Why is it you don’t smoke pot? Is it only because it is (or was depending on where you are) illegal? Could it be because you know better? And if so, why is it you believe others can’t also know better as well? And if they don’t know better, why is it you think the law will make any difference in what they do?

1. The pols didn't - the people did

2. The crazies have always been high, the only thing that changed was that it's legal

3. Show me the toxicology reports - I'd be willing to wager there was more in the perp's system than MJ - until the facts are released, it's only claims.

“who would have guessed making a drug like pot legal would lead to this ...oh! yeah, anyone with a brain!”

If they listed every act of violence committed by people under the influence of alcohol every day, you’d wonder why the hypocrites keep THAT drug legal.

I used to work in a local court for 2 years and nearly all acts of random violence I heard in court were committed by drunks who had long records of violence/addiction. The remainder were hard drug addicts or mentally ill.

The feds are desperately trying to find a few scattered cases to claim pot is the devil while keeping alcohol legal. They also funded tons of bunk studies in the recent months. People who are making $billions from pot prohibition are getting worried.

Compared to the deaths attributed to alcohol weed is quite tame.

Not yet. They will only do so if and when an expensive class is required to regain driving privileges.

hallucinogenic reactions.

Having been a stoner for several years (long ago), weed does NOT cause hallucinations! It does however, cause some really stupid thoughts and ideas as well as laziness.

Weak people who need the crutch of drugs to get through life have many psychological problems. One of the biggest dangers of pot is that users swear they don’t have a problem.

There was a pretty active thread about this story yesterday (one of many?). Interesting stuff about personal experiences and [presumably] atypical reactions.

Well in any case, something made this guy go off. Could have been other substances in his snack, but I think all-things pot-related are going to be convenient pretexts for more big government abuses.
