Classic Christianity announces that Jesus came to bring a paradigm shift.
The Jewish people were an illustration of pride. They claimed to the Lord that they could keep the commandments. The Lord took them at face value knowing jolly well they couldn’t. It was a deal they could never keep.
Jesus came to tell sinners that knew they were mired in sin, that He would bring them out of their sin. And went to the cross to prove it.
You can’t expect to see the Jesus of Christianity to be projected out of Jewish “tradition” even though He did appear as hints and more in Scripture.
