The reason I asked is because of a paper I’m writing on science found in the Bible. It’s everywhere and I’ve not pinned myself down to one specific area. Also, I’m having to learn a bit of Hebrew to get precisely what I want. The more I learn of Hebrew, the more discoveries are made.
I’ve got a couple of months to go, because I haven’t even gotten to the point of having a rough draft yet.
Talking with an atheist about science not long ago, it occurred to me that the best opinion and reaction on my points I am to make would best be from an atheist who’s into science. The previously mentioned atheist is not someone I could ask due to personal reasons. Anyway, that’s why I asked you.

All Jews of that era were well aware that Messiach had to come from Judah. Specifically from the root of David (Netzerim, from which Nazereth is derived)
There were only three tribes represented in Judea at that time, Judah, Benjamin, and Levi. All of Benjamin and all of Levi knew from early childhood that Messiach would not come from their lineage.
Finally, Yeshua plainly declared that his kingdom was not of the Earthly relm.
The motivation to kill him came from those that knew in their hearts that he was who he claimed to be, and that his birth meant the end of their illegitimate clique’s reign of power. The Pharisees did know the scriptures by heart, there couldn’t have been any misunderstanding.

I don’t think you can claim to know what “all Jews knew.”
Or the 3rd option, that was quotes attributed to him 75 years after the fact were inaccurate, or contrived, and the reality was that Jesus was a Jewish rebel executed by the Romans for sedition.

1. Historical record suggests that Jesus did indeed live.
2. He traveled around and spoke to the Jews.
3. Many believed he was either the Messiah, or claiming to be.
4. He was killed.
That's the most we can really say. Look at the Bible, there are clues to suggest what its writers were thinking. For instance, his disciples trace his lineage painstakingly. Why? If he was here to save all mankind from sin, it really doesn't matter what his lineage was. It only matters if he was supposedly fulfilling OT prophecy about Israel. So clearly they thought that was what he was doing.
The scriptures tell us what all Jews knew, because they all were deeply schooled in the scriptures from early childhood.
You can by choice remain ignorant thereof, but the facts are there for those that desire them.

The OT scriptures prophesy first a suffering servant that would die, and later an avenging King.
Everything of significance that Yeshua did during his life was prophesied in the OT. Everything of significance that he will do on his return is also prophesied.
There are eight days that are observed as feasts, three of which pinpointed the key events of his crucifixion, and resurrection by day of the month and day of the week. The remaining ones will similarly pinpoint the events of his return.
