"We cannot continue to rely only on our military," he said. "We've got to have a civilian national security force that's just as powerful, just as strong, just as well-funded."
Can anyone imagine the outrage if Bush had wanted an "internal military' as strong as the military that has to deal with China, Russia and North Korea? It's time to end civil service protection. Each party should bring in their own people.
They just don't know it yet.
Beware The Increasing Militarization Of Government:
both Federal and local
Exactly, if Bush would have announced that he’d have been eviscerated by the enemedia and liberals.
As it stands now the militarization of these agencies has gotten completely out of hand. Both the armed factions have to go as well as some of the agencies.
Nearly every government agency now has their own commando style swat teams and most of their facilities resemble fortresses...They led stupid Americans to believe this was all done to protect them.
They also have to live somewhere and that information can be ferreted out and distributed as needed.
I have a question.
I read on another thread, that some of the supposed government agents threatening to shoot citizens at the Bundy ranch may have actually been mercenaries/foreign troops. If this turns out to be true- Isn't it treason?
Is arming federal agencies against Americans even Constitutional?
How the hell did all this happen?
The best way to deal with this is with cartoons and radio skits mocking them. The Department of Checking Nursery School Toilets should NOT have it’s own SWAT Team.
Blowhards hate being mocked.
What Good Can a Handgun Do Against An Army?

BUMP
I don’t have the answers. As much as I despise what has taken place with the sometimes murderous and heavy handedness of the feds I believe they were all federal employees. Arming these agents of different agencies like our military is an abuse of power in my view and should be stopped NOW.
Well said!
That's the necessary political front, but there's two more:
Courts. The Hage v US decision is excellent basis.
The armed. Armed men tend to get the attention of the other two.
Without armed men in Bunkerville, we would never have heard of Bundy or Water Rights...and most outside the West would not know anything about BLM or the ENORMOUS tracks of land they control.
Larger than any country in Europe.
I have long suspected that there are citizen groups who have been gathering this sort of information and will indeed distribute it when the need arises.
“Federal employees”. Hmmm. Find out the names and identities of these employees. Then go “find” their families, close friends etc. it’s what the Israelis do.....
Ya see, the first bureaucrat that raises a stink in a case like this, needs a baseball bat upside the head.
EPA, BLM, IRS, HHS,.....Just to let them know that theres a price for their utter stupidity. That would slow down some of this nonsense.
And....even if it resulted in a ban on baseball bats....there are an infinite number of substitutes, so as to make the ban irrelevant.
may have actually been mercenaries/foreign troops. If this turns out to be true-
...it makes them TARGETS
but, I doubt that its true....
>>Their numbers are miniscule compared to the citizenry. <<
We ain’t skeered
