Ack! Geese are EVIL! They bite like Hell. My aunt had geese, and I adamantly refused to be the one who had to feed them.

Also, it should be noted here, regarding dogs, that you should NEVER tell your neighbors or strangers, “Oh, poochie is friendly. He/she wouldn’t hurt a fly!”

Criminals are often sociopaths who will not only case your house but attempt an interaction with you or your family to find out details about your life before committing to a crime. Telling them that your dog is a big softie is likely going to give them a reason to continue pursuing.

My neighbors like my other dogs but won’t interact with the Dobes unless I’m controlling them.

I can only imagine what would be said, if a stranger inquired about my house.

[not to mention the gauntlet of hungry, lunging Boa Constrictors they’d have to run, just to get into the living room] LOL

I had two geese and one gander.

The gander was a lunatic.

Every time I had to tend the girls’ needs, he’d jump on me, biting and hitting.

Even the dogs let them be.

:D

Whenever strangers inquire about the Dobes, before petting them, I always say “Yes, they’re nice dogs...until they they feel they have reason not to be or I tell them not to be.”

Which is true.
