I've been fortunate to have been able to listen to Rush daily for about 22 years, live or on tape. He's always been my mentor...and he's one of the best things that ever happened to this country.

But I (and I'm sure others) get nervous when he appears off his edge or to be playing things safe. I don't have to amplify, most Rush-folks know exactly what I mean.

Same here, I'm a long-time El Rushbo fan. I understand Rush may have a "down" day here and there, but man, his head seems to be elsewhere on a great many days lately, and it's disconcerting. There's substantive news breaking all over on a daily basis, and he's talking about Bubba Watson, Waffle House, old Clinton stuff and pop culture crap? What's going on, Rush?

Geez, now he's talking about Oprah, and the guy who sings "Happy". Then back to his extensive discussion from Monday (I forgot to mention this above) about Claire Shipman, and her new book and life at home with Jay Carney and kids. :-(

Why not ONE mention of the Cattle Battle?? Very strange.

A couple of weeks ago, Rush didn’t mention the Mozilla thing until after everything was over. Okay, I get that.

Is it because this isn’t over?

Mark Levin did a full hour on Bundy Ranch last night; yelling at callers who wanted to argue about land ownership and saying that land ownership was not the point here.

I can understand being hesitant because of Alex Jones. I can even understand just dismissing it as “a Nevada land dispute.” But goodness gracious, there are a variety of angles one can take on this situation. From the Federal land grab, to the Center for Biological Diversity and the Desert Tortoise, to the free speech “areas,” to the militarization of park rangers, to Harry Reid's threats… it is just very confusing, and at this point, becoming concerning.
