For criminals, flouting the rules of society is the point. Positive incentives would have no effect on them. That’s why we have law enforcement and prisons for such people. Some people will never make it in society because they don’t want to be responsible. They need to be locked up. A basic income program is for law-abiding people who want a better life for themselves and their families.

I don’t know whether you have noticed it or not but there are 100’s of thousands of laws and regulations on the books of Fed, state, and local governments. The regulations have the force of law behind them. You expect people to know all these BS laws and obey them and then be rewarded with someone else’s money?
God only gave us 10 laws and I know no one who obeys them all. Are you saying this in jest or are you out of your fracking mind? We are all criminals in the eyes of the various governments and will always be if we even disagree with one of their chickenchit laws. You sure you are on the right website? ‘flouting the rules of society’ is the reason why there is a United States. It is a time honored tradition, if our forefathers had not disobeyed the laws of King George we would still be a bunch of wig wearing colonists.
I hope you were joking or forgot to take your meds this morning.
