I am sorry to see the only thing you got out of this article was a missing comma.
My son, who has been fighting Common Core in Wisconsin for the last year, sent me this and I thought it was important enough to post.

That is NOT the only thing I got out of it. The political bent of it i.e. bashing of white Americans, was the main thing. But that a curriculum so wanting in proper English — no doubt pushed by the federal Department of EDUCATION — is being shoved on schools is by itself an outrage.
