The boat talking wife and me out to the Arizona Memorial was 2/3rds populated with Japanese tourists. I asked one fellow in his 20s why so many Japanese were on the tour.
He said, he and his wife wanted to see what their fathers and grandfathers had done. They simply couldn't believe the Pacific War (Nihon for WW II) had happened as it was not taught in school in Japan.
