But since President Obama worries more about the threat of terrorists' improvised nuclear device going off in a major American city than anything Russia can throw at us, I was wondering if the government had deigned to share with us citizens any tips for, you know, surviving something their own intelligence points to as the likeliest unlikely Black Swan event.
Well, no. And yes.
No — very few people in Washington, D.C., who work for the government have any idea what they would do if a 10-kiloton nuclear device exploded at the intersection of 16th and K streets.
You can always look to movies to figure this stuff out, right? And in movies, since nuclear radiation is BAD, the thing to do is to get away from it as quickly as possible. In the movies, electronics are fried, too, the response is chaotic, and hundreds of thousands of people die.
Interestingly enough, though, the government has done quite a bit of work to figure out what exactly would happen if a suitcase nuke — which, I know, doesn't really exist, but, for the sake of this example, bear with me — actually did explode a few blocks from the White House.

Nevada is an interesting “test” ..... armed citizens showed up, maybe more than the BLM/Obama/Reids expected so they are regrouping (but will no doubt be back with a lot more fire power & perhaps stealthier tactics like a pre-dawn raid). If this isn’t a prime example of why the Obamathugs/Leftists are all but desperate to disarm Americans, I don’t know what is. In my mind, there is no doubt that Obama is determined to destroy America as it exists under our Constitution and military-like force (not just IRS intimidation, tanking the economy, etc.) will be required.
Dust off the vintage cognac.

There is an orchestrated campaign beginning to take place with the dem party, left wing groups, and the news media all orchestrating an attack against republicans as “racist”.
For the last 23 years each and every time the left has orchestrated this exact same “republicans are racist” campaign with the news media it has been followed by a terrorist attack, an attempted attack, or threat of attack.
In just the last few years 3 attacks that stick out like a sore thumb, the 2009 NYC subway bomb plot, the 2010 fertilizer car bomb in NYC, and the airline plot in 2012.
After 23 years of the exact same thing I don’t expect it to suddenly change now.

sure it’s coming. History always repeats because people always ignore it and think they are special and immune.
I accepted some time ago that I’m screwed. So when it happens, I’m pulling up a lawn chair and enjoying the suffering of all the idiots that ‘knew better’. Small consolation but better than nothing.
And I’m not the least bit concerned whether what anyone thinks about it. Those complaining probably helped get us to this point to begin with.
And again, am I allowed not to care? I know it’s rough that you and your family were drafted and forced at gunpoint to live in and build lives in an area that would probably have no functional economy if it weren’t for that fever swamp being the center of the empire. But am I really required to be emotionally invested in your safety?
