OK!! Everybody pay attention!
Lesson for today:
1. The sun is 1,300,000 times as big as the earth.
2. The sun is a ball of fire that controls the climates of all its planets.
3. The earth is one of the suns planets.
4. The earth is a speck in comparison to the size of the sun.
5. Inhabitants of the earth are less than specks.
Study Question: How do less-than-specks in congress plan to control the sun?
Bonus Questions: What caused the Ice Age? Why did the ice melt?
Do a web search on Maunder Minimum and find out why when the Sun's sunspot output effectively dropped to zero between 1645 and 1715 Europe experienced what amounted to a mini Ice Age. That's why I've always said the biggest determinant of the climate on Earth is the radiative output of the Sun.
I don’t mind you posting this on every GW thread (because AGW is such a load of crap), but could you at least get your points correct? Re #2: The sun is NOT a giant ball of fire. “Fire” is the product of combustion, or chemical oxidation: the combination of oxygen and another element/molecule. The sun is a continuous thermonuclear explosion (no “fire” involved). Getting something so simple wrong does not help your point at all...
