Based on the poor/intermittent quality live feeds from the scene, this is FAR from over.

Made them blink. Will this pull-back last any longer than it takes for all the patriots and observers to return home?

It was inspiring to see how Free Republic was acknowledged with having the "goods" on BLM that connected this to corrupt Washington, D.C. pukes. A big THANK YOU! to the FReeper who did it.

What's next?

Are the aged 1960s New Left Marxist-Alinsky campus radical, psycho spoiled brats and their ideological issue (arguably the Establishment) going to back down now?

IMO they'll eventually do something like what FDR tried to do with his Great Sedition Trial of 1944.. with "war clouds" gathering in Eastern Europe and Asia (or whatever excuse) watch for the frustrated campus psycho spoiled brats to use false charges of sedition against Americans -- criticism of Obama with the active support of MSM employees will become "sedition."

FDR failed. Obama might succeed, the Establishment today is arguably aging 1960s New Left Marxist-Alinsky radical, campus psycho spoiled brats and their ideological issue. The Establishment in FDR's days did not go along and eventually stopped:

". . . one of the blackest marks on the record of American jurisprudence. In the legal world, none can recall a case where so many Americans were brought to trial for political persecution and were so arrogantly denied the rights [guaranteed] an American citizen under the Constitution.”

This confrontation could be even bigger and could be the crisis that Lincoln spoke about which must be reached before we can overcome "a house divided".

What right does the BLM have to charge fees to use public land. I see no authority in the Constitution. Protection of the public land should be budget funding to keep unjust actions from the BLM..

Does this mean that they are ending the siege for now or are they just moving on to a new phase?

Bureau officials had dismantled designated protest areas supporting rancher Cliven Bundy, who they say refuses to comply with the "same laws that 16,000 public land ranchers do every year."

I wonder if the BLM official who thought up that talking point about somebody not complying with the same laws thousands of other people did ever heard of Rosa Parks? Or the founding fathers?

Isn't it a great tradition in our nation for people protesting an unjust law to disobey it? Americans have done that since the beginning of our nation. Maybe the other 16,000 ranchers are also being taken advantage of by the government, and the laws need changing.

What legal fight? Bundy has lost every legal case the government has brought against him and he’s ignored the verdicts. Now that the BLM has backed down I don’t see what they have left to get him to obey the law.

"After 20 years and multiple court orders to remove the trespass cattle, Mr. Bundy owes the American taxpayers in excess of $1 million. The BLM will continue to work to resolve the matter administratively and judicially," the statement said. "We ask that all parties in the area remain peaceful and law-abiding as the Bureau of Land Management and National Park Service work to end the operation in an orderly manner."

So much packed into one official statement of such short length.

How much of the taxpayer's money did they expend on this despotic raid?

What do they consider by "...will continue to work to resolve the matter administratively and judicially..."? How much more taxpayer money will be expended?

It seems that they were the major entity to be unlawful and belligerent - funny that they ask the People to act nicely.
