If the ranch as cable or phone co internet, yes. The “last mile” of cable to the house is coax, before that they have nodes that covert fiber to coax. These nodes require local power, I.e. Those beige or green boxes hanging on the sided of utility poles. Cut power to those and whe the batteries run down in 8 hours anyone served from that node is down.

Put armed guards next to said equipment and no way the cable co. Can repair it. Similar systems are used for DSL based services.
