An Australian search official dismissed reports Friday that the location of the data-recording black boxes on missing Malaysia Airlines Flight MH370 had been found.

The Chief Coordinator of the Joint Agency Coordination Centre, Air Chief Marshal Angus Houston (Ret’d), said an initial assessment of the possible signal detected by a RAAF AP-3C Orion aircraft yesterday afternoon has been determined as not related to an aircraft underwater locator beacon.
The Australian Joint Acoustic Analysis Centre has analysed the acoustic data and confirmed that the signal reported in the vicinity of the Australian Defence Vessel Ocean Shield is unlikely to be related to the aircraft black boxes, Air Chief Marshal Angus Houston (Ret’d), said....
On the information I have available to me, there has been no major breakthrough in the search for MH370. I will provide a further update if, and when, further information becomes available.

I’m curious......Not being educated in undersea phonomen, A BIG IF, that black box is supposed to be somewhere around 15,000 ft down in the ocean, what would the underwater pressure be on that black box?

The boxes should be okay and if the pings are coming from 15,000 ft then they are more than likely on the bottom.

My point is that the ‘Muslim’ angle of this has been pushed back to relative obscurity now for a number of weeks. (pardon my drum-beating)

There is no way that we, the USA, doesn’t know what happened to this aircraft.

Those two Iranians were up to no good.
I think a US submarine pinpointed the impact (on patrol in the Indian ocean) and, since sub operations are secret, they concocted this Inmarsat story (having learned from the ‘Zoom-climb video’ experience) to plot a general course. At least it would explain why the source data has been so mysterious. SatCom geeks wouldn’t have been so clever; NSA would, however. Think about what they can do with a moving target and hourly pings to a satellite now (or have been doing, for that matter)...
The initial search areas were WAY off target, however, being placed in the vicinity of all the ocean garbage they misidentified (maybe they dumped it in the wrong place to start the search...who knows...but the fact is there was no search area before they found the ‘garbage’).
I’m betting one well-placed ‘hint’ got the search in the general vicinity (note how the search area ‘jumped’ in the right direction after the mysterious/disappearing Chinese ping detection). I don’t fault the obfuscation of our sub secrets; it’s the constant manipulation of the truth for other reasons that gets to me.
Regardless...I don’t doubt the plane is there. It’s just that this whole thing has stunk of an ‘Op’ since day 1. It’s been clear to me that the ‘op’ seems to have been to distract away from the Muslim angle (recall ‘workplace violence’). I think if I’m right the Chinese are going to be pretty pissed off about this (unless they’ve been complicit, too). And I also think the Malaysians are hiding something. Re the Iranians? I think perhaps they were on ‘the wrong flight’. Who knows. We’ll never know.
The only reason ‘Muslim’ is still in the news related to the Boston Terror Bombing is as a result of the Russians f-ing with the Administration on the Tsarnaev data.
I fully expect an MH370 post-event ‘op’ in the media akin to this

If this plane crashed into the ocean, there is no doubt in my mind that either a sub heard it o our underwater acoustic system heard it. The sound would have been heard of thousands of miles by sonar apparatus.
I personally hope the plane is in Iran or Pakistan. I think it shadowed another jet across the Indian Ocean. In any event, it either landed or crashed eight hours after it took off.
And we know what happened. The charade will not go on much longer.

The media is getting confused, but in this case, it's understandable.
Air Chief Marshal Angus Houston, the retired Royal Australian Air Force officer (and former Chief of the Australian Defence Force - ACM is a four star rank) gave a press briefing only a very short period of time after Prime Minister Tony Abbott had made a statement to the press. ACM Houston was talking about one set of signals picked up the previous night now being considered a mistake, and that media reports about them were therefore incorrect. He did not know the Prime Minister had made a new statement only a couple of minutes earlier, so he was not talking about that statement being incorrect.
They seem to have spoken to the press less than two minutes apart from each other.

Here’s my theory.
Moochell has goten used to jetting around in AF2, vacations, etc. Her and Barry know in ‘16 they won’t have a large private jet to continue the lifestyle.
Just like a ride in Chicago, they boost a 777-300, hide out in a chop shop, change the data plates and voila, they have their own private jet, the size they require, that shows up from an anonymous donor.
The passengers? Probably ransomed to China, with some state secrets, in exchange for fuel and maintenance.
