Well Mike, a few of us know the feeling. The problem is that the naysayers are just allowed to scurry off and pretend they didn’t contribute to the problem at hand, when clearly their actions/inactions did.
No admissions of being wholly wrong, no apologies and no intent to do anything different in the future. Which is exactly why no one listens. No one is ever held accountable or takes responsibility.
I recall many times being told on FR that the marriage referendums would never possibly be in danger of getting 50% +1 for ‘gay marriage.’ The opinion polls always seem to be skewed towards ‘gay marriage’ and pundits on either side rarely delve into the trends of all the popular votes on the issue by date and location. So it looked like actual marriage was going strong everywhere, anything less was just liberal propaganda (the skewed polls actually might be) but that was not the case. Anyone can see it by the trends of the actual votes on the issue, not what one stranger tells another what they think of ‘gay marriage’ over the phone.
