Don’t give them your money. Toward the end of the year change your withholding to zero out your tax. Why make the G a free loan in the first place?

I don’t think you answered my question, but I do think changing your withholding towards the end of the year is a fantastic idea. I didn’t think of that. So simple and perfect.

Yep - I have modified my withholding to try to come out close to even come tax time. My wife retired last year and we ended up getting some back from both State and Fed this year./ I retire at the end of the year and will alter my withholding to try to owe the Feds about the same that I receive from the State for future returns. The main goal is to write a check, but not so big that I also owe a penalty.

They are still taking my money every payday, so he didn't atone for sh*t. I hope he's burning in hell.
