That’s funny. I don’t remember these kinds of stores when Reagan was president.
And there were only 800 Wal-Marts.
Retailing has changed a lot.
When the Dollar type food stores are closing and or pulling in it's generally because they've looked down the road and are making decisions accordingly. We are not going to only see higher prices, as we have been, but less selection and fewer items overall. I've seen this in the retail store I work part-time at as well, though it's not a food store.
Things are contracting pretty much everywhere....like people getting winter clothes out for the season ahead...they know winters coming...it's in the air!
