Rather than make bold decisions conducive to peace, the government continues to give the US the finger with regard to talks with the Palestinians, Meretz MK Zahava Gal-on charged on Tuesday, reacting to statements by Secretary of State John Kerry that ascribed much of the blame for the present impasse to Israel.
Kerrys statements are further proof that the extreme rightist coalition has no interests in reaching an agreement, but rather is dragging out the negotiations and endangering Israels existential interests, she said.
Instead of making courageous decisions, this bad government continued to give the US the finger, she added. The image is favored by Gal-on, who in June 2013 claimed that pushing forward with the construction of 69 Jewish homes in an East Jerusalem neighborhood was also tantamount to making an obscene gesture at Washington.

Lurch gets the finger.....
Maybe Lurch has butt hurt and will put himself in for another Purple Heart.
He deserves the finger - and worse. A cowardly traitor.
It seems fitting for Israel to give the US way more than just the finger.
So do I, on just about everything.
Sorry. If she want’s me to take her seriously she’s gonna have to change her name... Maybe something like Mary Smith.

They gave Obama the finger — not the US.

MK Zehava Galon - J Street Conference 2013
Zahava Gal-on, head of Meretz, 6 seats (of 120), down from 12 the election before. I’m sure it’s a widely held opinion. Maybe Kerry can get her an invite to the White House.
Meretz defines itself as a Zionist, left-wing, social-democratic party.[citation needed] The party is a member of the Socialist International and an observer member of the Party of European Socialists. It sees itself as the political representative of the Israeli Peace movement in the Knesset as well as municipal councils and other local political bodies.
In the international media it has been described as left-wing, social-democratic, dovish, secular, civil libertarian, and anti-occupation.
An unattractive party with a suicidal ideology for Israel, led by an unattractive lady! Not surprising that when she comes to DC to drum up support for her pernicious organization, she speaks to her pals at J Street, the Arab-loving anti-Israel bunch founded and run by Obama operatives.
Fortunately, Meretz has only six seats in the Knesset.
