A pdf taken directly from the source is a document I cannot alter. It freezes the source in time and is proof that I did not alter its content. Hmmm. Guess I must have missed something in the past. I know that not too long ago I was running a program to edit pdf files, but I am pretty sure that was a linux thing so perhaps not everyone could do it. Even if the file was set as Not Changeable (or whatever it was called) I could just take a screenshot then OCR the text and copy out the pics. Save it to an rtf file and set it up as I wished then re-save it in any other format I chose -even a pdf.
Probably why I disliked working with pdf files so much. Too much effort to work with the files.
