Retired nurse saves Steve Utash's life, steps in when driver was getting beat
Yup. There is a certain respect shown for older black women in the inner city that I struggle to understand because of the general lack of respect shown for women otherwise.
I have a black neighbor from Detroit and he says its because so many black males are raised by their grandmother these days.
> “I got over there and I told them ‘Don’t nobody hit him anymore,’” Hughes said. “I had a gun in my pocket, I was ready to do some damage if I had to. Somebody had to stand up. It was maybe 100 people out here. I was the only one [who stepped up]” said Hughes.
Well done, Deborah Hughes.
Thanks cripplecreek.
[ Somebody had to stand up. It was maybe 100 people out here. Were you the only one who said stop? I was the only one, said Hughes.
One out of a hundred. That makes 99% ghetto trash.
If Michigan were to get an enema they would stick the tube in Detroit! ]
Isn’t this whole thing a demonstration of WHY a Republic is Superior to a Democracy ie. Mob Rule...
That's one brave woman. In a saner Detroit she would be a natural 'community leader'... Not the kind put up by radicals - the commies - but a real leader... Taking on a hundred thugs with only the force of will is amazing... Good woman... brave soul.
Surprised they had the story. The race angle wasn't mentioned.
“No matter his size, call on me and I will equalize” - worked on another, earlier frontier against a different type of savage.
Works just as well in today’s Concrete Jungle against Urban Ferals.
Sam Colt and John Browning did make men equal.
The nurse proved it.
“The race angle wasn’t mentioned.”
Natch.
In other parts of Michigan, we live by the “Never Go South of Birch Run Rule”.
In my neck of the woods, anyone with a loaded firearm is golden. I’m in Michigan all my life.
She’s somebody’s Momma, and Momma is not to be trifled with in that culture. I’ve seen many cases where a big, bad guy stopped and shriveled up when he heard that voice.
You may mess with the man, but don’t *ever* mess with a Momma.
(Yes, indeed she’s a hero.)
Not just Michigan. On or near any Martin Luther King Blvd. in the country.
Now that is one brave woman!
What about the other 99...?
