It's important to remember that many low income folks go straight to Medicaid under O-Care.
Here in Washington state we have added 403,000 to Medicaid in the last six months.
268,000 - Because of new expanded Medicaid rules.
135,000 - Previously eligible, but first time sign up.
If Washington state is “average,” that means, nationally, 18.3 million new people on Medicaid in the last six months.
I don't know how that number compares with pre-ObamaCare years.
And, I'm sure many people leave Medicaid each year, too.
Very, very hard to make sense of all these numbers.
It will be a dual system. The politicians and celebrities and other very wealthy will be able to afford paying premiums for crap healthcare they won’t use, as well as pay for high quality doctors.
The rest of us will get the lousy healthcare we’re forced to pay for.
An office liberal grew up fairly wealthy in Portugal. I tried to explain to him the mechanisms of Barrycare that will cause our healthcare to circle the toilet. His response was that you didn’t have to use the gubmint healthcare...because growing up in Portugal under a similar system, he had always gone to private doctors. Too dense to understand that since he is no longer in the wealthy class, he’s stuck with the rest of us serfs.
Non-payment.
On 23 March 2014, here in Washington state, 34.7% of new sign ups had NOT paid.
The claim that, nationally, only 15% to 20% have not paid, sounds bogus to me.
Lyrica saved my life. Don’t want to know side effects. I would have killed myself to get rid of the pain. Now I am sitting in FL having my evening cocktail, and enjoying life.
Pharmacies are highly regulated, and often audited. My private Pharmacy gets it every few months. They do not dispense meds with out current Scripts.
They are busier than walmart, krogers, and walgreens. And they KNOW YOU you get personal service.
Did you note that all OP drugs of this class come with 3 FDA warnings doctors are ignoring?

We were discussing Department of Veterans Affairs pharmacies. Apparently the DEA does not apply the same scrutiny to government run drug distribution as it does to the commercial sector.

” Liberals get involved and something as easy as going to a store or a doctor is made difficult.”
Yes, now they have made buying light bulbs a headache. Now you have to consider not only watts, but lumens, kelvins, and I don’t know what.
I am engaged on an argument with a bunch of libs on a forum about buying LED bulbs, and I don’t know why I bother. They have zero understanding of economics.
They are thrilled with how much money they think you save after 10 years. Ten years? Most people don’t live in a place that long. I can see taking or leaving the bulbs becoming part of real estate contracts. As you said, when libs get involved, everything gets difficult and expensive.
A reporter on Fox News said there are 7 pediatricians in Florida for 250,000 kids on these plans. Sounds like they could get an appointment in a year or two.
Yeah, I know our circumstances are very unusual. In fact, my hospital-owned clinic just hired a new pediatrician and she is taking new Medicaid patients.

You’ll have to take my word on the patient acceptance or give them a call Monday.
The question for the president is “how many have paid the second and third premiums?
