I loved Mickey in all the Andy Hardy movies, and in Boys Town with Spencer Tracy, and any movie with Judy Garland.
Short on stature, long on talent, RIP Mickey.

I mostly think of him as Puck in the 1935 film by Max Reinhardt, A Midsummer Night's Dream. It was a big deal in its day, and everything about it is great, as I see it. Many claim that the actors, particularly Mickey Rooney, were not up to the task, but I disagree. This movie is a unique experience.
